Festive Fall, Part 2
The following day we were joined by friends Taylor and Marin at the annual Trunk-R-Treat put on by our church. The girls got to break out their Halloween costumes early (as a pig and scarecrow, respectively), and had fun on the playground checking out all the other kids!

Festive Fall, Part 1
Last weekend Tricia and I spent time with Sara James (along with our friends Lee, Jayme, and their children Caroline and Brian) among the pumpkins at Berry Patch Farms. SJC loved the wide open space, loved following Caroline around, and loved her first real taste of farm life (which included a cotton field, goats, a calf, chickens and a turkey).

More From the Yard
As I mentioned before, Sara James loves being outside. I also enjoy taking pictures, and SJC has developed an appreciation of being photographed (read: she loves looking at pictures of herself after we take them). Now, I have no great photographic aspirations, nor do I think Sara James is secretly plotting a career with Baby Gap, but the weather has been gorgeous lately, and we all need a hobby, right? So...here are a few more shots from the front yard:

Party at the Zoo
Yesterday was a big day for Sara James. Her friend Caroline turned three, and had a birthday party at the Atlanta Zoo. Lots of fun was had by all, as SJC ate pizza, water-colored, ran around with some older kids, and enjoyed checking out all the wild animals. However, her favorite animal was actually a person dressed up as one (a meerkat to be precise)! Here's a little glimpse:

Front Yard Photos
One of Sara James favorite things to do is to walk around the front yard. In fact, if we don't close the door after we pull in the garage, Sara James will lunge from our arms and head straight for the driveway. Sometimes she'll make a beeline for the yard, other times she's content to sit on the front porch swing and rock. Today we let Mackenzie run around the yard and Sara James, whose short attention span was held captive by a cup of ice, sat contendly in the grass while we took pictures. Enjoy the many faces of our little girl!
