New Tricks

Sara James is quickly acquiring new skills (or tricks, as we sometimes call them!). One of her new favorites is standing up in her crib. She's been pulling up a lot recently, but it hasn't been until this past week that she's actually stood up and held on. The photographic proof is here, along with a few others from the weekend:

A Very Silly Girl

Tricia tip-toed into Sara James' room earlier this week only to find her napping with both the green and pink Pancake. She loves those bears so much, and it isn't unusual to find her sleeping on top of one at any given time! Also, as you'll see, she's become very proficient at pulling up on things like a diaper box or basket of stuffed animals...walking can't be far off, can it? Lastly, even in a room full of toys, Sara James naturallly gravitates to laundry baskets and trash cans. Enjoy!

Beat Box Baby

Back in early November, while I was feeding Sara James her dinner, I began to beat-box, much to her delight. Tricia grabbed the camera and recorded this little clip of me laying down some funky beats (poorly), and Sara James cackling. Enjoy!

A Day in the Life...

As Sara James has gotten older, she's grown much more curious about the world (and house) around her, and isn't nearly as content to just lay around and watch us. Being able to crawl has certainly been to her benefit, and she seems to really enjoy keeping us constantly on our toes! Below you'll find Sara James laughing with her pal Cooper, playing in her crib (she thinks covering up her head is very funny!), enjoying Saturday morning with some favorite toys, and trying to catch Mackenzie.

Happy New Year!

It's hard to believe that in four short months, Sara James will be one year old! She has already changed so much in the last few months, not to mention the last couple of weeks. With two teeth on the bottom, and others pushing through even as I type, our lives are all changing rapidly...and wonderfully. It really is coming at us fast.

Christmas Recap

We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas holiday, and hope each of you did as well! From an annual get-together with my mom's side of the family, to several days in Columbus, and finally wrapping up the year in Charlotte with the Hiatt's. It was a whirlwind, but we'd do it all over again without a question! Enjoy this glimpse into our celebrations:
